Predating the state of Michigan by 13 years, Dexter was founded in 1824 by Judge Samuel Dexter. Nestled along the banks of the Huron River, Dexter is a thriving and picturesque community located in western Washtenaw County.
Dexter is conveniently located close to major highways which makes it an easy commute to Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan, Detroit, and other areas of Southeast Michigan.
The community of Dexter is also known for excellent schools, an historic cider mill, museum, and many outdoor recreation opportunities. The community is also home to many thriving businesses and industries, but still has plenty of room to grow. The community has a committed relationship to its residence and corporate citizens, making Dexter a terrific place to work as well to live.
