Saline was first settled in 1832 and was a very important stage coach stop along the Chicago Road. Having numerous salt springs in the area, French explores named the town Saline (French for Salt).

Today, Saline continues to be a booming community, yet retains its small town charm. Saline is conveniently located close to major highways which makes it an easy commute to Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan, Detroit, and other areas of Southeast Michigan.

Saline has a very good school system, great local restaurants for dining and is nationally known for its Celtic Festival. Saline is also home to the Saline Fiddlers and Fiddlers Restrung. Both are nationally renowned high school bluegrass fiddle groups.

Newcomers would like to be the first to welcome you to your new community and we look forward to helping you get settled into your new home.
